Overview

The ASNB board is the 16-port narrowband voice service access board that is used for accessing 16 channels of POTS services.

Product Details

The ASNB board is slot compatible with other service boards. It supoorts hot swappable and upstream forwards HW signals to the control board through the backplane interface.

The ASNB board consists of the following functinal modules:

Subscriber cable interface module: Mainly processes analog signals, including signals for feeding to the phone and offhook check.

Processing module: Mainly processes conversion between analog signals and digital signals. In the upstream direction, it converts analog signals to digital signals. In the downstream direction, it converts digital signals to analog signals.

Control module: Controls and manages intra-board services, and communicates with the control board. Furthermore, it issues configuration commands to the subscriber line interface module and processing module and exchanges commands with the control board through the serial port.

Power module: Provides power for components one the board.
