Huawei RH1288 V2 rack server is designed for compute intensive and cloud applications. This high-performance 1U rack server supports 2*Intel Xeon E5-2600 or Intel Xeon E5-2600 V2 series processors, 24*DDR3 RDIMMs/LRDIMMS slots to support up to 768GB memory capacity, 8*2.5” SAS/SATA HDDs or SSDs or 4*3.5” SAS or SATA HDDSs. This server supports two or four GE ports or two 10 GE ports without occupying any PCIe slots, improving network availability. Moreover, Dynamic energy-saving and power-capping technologies limit server power consumption to a preset threshold, improving overall energy efficiency.
Figure 1 shows the appearance of Huawei RH1288 V2 Rack Server. The RH1288 V2 has two models:
Figure 1-1 shows the RH1288 V2-8S that supports eight 2.5-inch SAS HDDs, SATA HDDs, or solid-state drives (SSDs).
Figure 1-2 shows the RH1288 V2-4L that supports four 3.5-inch SAS or SATA HDDs.

The server supports two types of hard disk configurations: RH1288 V2-8S: supports eight 2.5-inch SAS HDDs, SATA HDDs, or SSDs at the front. RH1288 V2-4L: supports four 3.5-inch SAS HDDs or SATA HDDs at the front. The following information lists the total storage capacity of eight 2.5-inch hard disks: SAS HDD: 7.2 TB SATA HDD: 8 TB SSD: 4.8 TB The following information lists the total storage capacity of four 3.5-inch hard disks: SAS HDD: 4 TB SATA HDD: 16 TB Hard disks are hot-swappable. It supports iBBU battery protection, RAID state migration, RAID configuration memory, self-diagnosis, and web-based configuration.
